The Wanaka is the first model, one with features that stand-out when compared to other RTTs, with an even higher quality, better accessories, and a longer lasting build. The Wanaka roof top tent is not just a tent, is a full camping setup, it has the space to accomodate 3 adults on top, as well as at least two more in the included XL annex. You will see less light inside the tent! Extra Large Annex The main advantage of this excellent roof top tent is the extra large annex. Average annexes are around 65″ wide and 75″ long at the base. However, the Wanaka has an annex that’s 100″ wide by 100″ long, with a height of 75″. If it’s not the biggest one in the market, it’s close. It has a removable floor, and as such this annex will work not only as a comfortable changing room or storage room, but will easily fit an adult, making it a 4 person roof top tent. The annex was specifically designed to have 3 large entrance doors all covered by see-through-mesh, and an additional canvas cover that can become an awning. There is also an annex door that opens up inside of it towards your vehicle, so you can access your car from the annex. That door also has see-through-mesh. Basically, the three entrance doors open up to become three awnings (poles are included), increasing the coverage area for your camping setup! Premium Roof Top Tent With Extra Accessories The guana Equipment Wanaka 55″ roof top tent includes incredibly useful features, such as the anti-condensation mat, 2 shoe or boot bags, LED light strip to illuminate the annex area, skylights inside the tent and one inside the annex for better luminosity. The newest edition comes with a 270 skylight on the overhang for the annex, letting light into the annex area. The toughness of this rooftop tent is out of question. Built with 1″ thick aluminum poles, it’ll withstand even the toughest of winds. The base of the tent is fully black, so potential scratches or dents are less visible, as well as offering better insulation. Plus, all Guana Equipment tents have a plaque with the serial number so you know which batch and tent you own, in case you ever need assistance. The canvas body of the car top tent is made of 600D waterproof ripstop polyester oxford canvas with taped seams and PU coating, making it a 4-season roof top tent. The Wanaka comes with YKK zippers (the highest quality) for both the RTT and the annex. The base is made of a thick diamond plate aluminum, and to top it all up, a 3″ thick high-density foam mattress. Fits Any Vehicle A great, great feature of the Wanaka rooftop tent is the fact that it can fit literally any vehicle that has a roof rack or cross bars with a dynamic weight capacity of 165 lbs or more. Clearly, if you have a smaller vehicle or SUV, then there is a chance the annex sits a bit low and can’t be used to its true capacity, but the tent itself can. As you can see, the Wanaka has been thoroughly tested, and even used on vehicles such as the Mini Cooper, Subaru Outback or Crosstrek, Toyota Rav4, and clearly larger off road vehicles.
